D. Wilson Construction was started by Darrell Wilson in 1957. Born and raised in McAllen, Texas, Darrell had the vision of building his own business by bringing personal attention to each project and giving every client his personal commitment.

Darrell began his business by remodeling a few Main Street buildings in downtown McAllen, and soon thereafter he started building houses. In fact, the first house Darrell built was at 5th and Laurel in McAllen, which became both the family home and the first company office, operating out of the living room.

Darrell’s brother Gerald soon joined the company, and the brother’s commitment to quality work helped spread the word about Wilson Construction. It wasn’t long before the company was being offered commercial contracts.
