University of Texas Rio Grande Valley Practice Football Fields

D. Wilson Construction completed the new Football Practice Fields for UTRGV, delivering a high-performance, multi-use facility to support the university’s athletic program. The project spans a 14.12-acre site and includes both a synthetic turf field and a natural grass field, each striped for football, with the synthetic field also striped for soccer. The synthetic field features alternating turf colors and custom-colored endzones with text.

A complete sports lighting package was installed, including 60 LED field lights mounted on poles up to 70 feet tall, ensuring optimal visibility for evening practices and events. The facility also includes a scoreboard, delay of game clocks, and soccer goals.
