Terminal A Security Checkpoint Expansion at San Antonio International Airport

San Antonio, Texas – D. Wilson Construction Company and partners Preston Banks Construction are excited to be awarded the Terminal A Security Checkpoint Expansion at the San Antonio Airport.  This three-phase project will temporarily relocate one of the six existing Transportation Security Administrations checkpoint lanes, so they all remain in service during construction. An existing retail concession space will then be renovated to receive a new complete security checkpoint lane. The new lane will have a new x-ray scanner and a walk-through metal detector. This work will be coordinated, in shifts, around the Airport flight schedule while maintaining strict compliance with all the security requirements, and not affecting the facilities operations. San Antonio architects, RS&H, Inc., completed design work for this project. Work will start in March and be substantially complete by August 2019.
